A 25-year-old Lincoln man was shot and killed Friday night in a business parking lot in southwest Lincoln at 1550 S Coddington Ave.
A 25-year-old Lincoln man was shot and killed Friday night in a business parking lot in southwest Lincoln, according to the Lincoln Police Department, which is asking for help in its investigation.
Police said in a press release they were sent to 1550 Coddington Avenue at 10 p.m. on a report of gunshots and vehicles fleeing the scene. The man suffering from a gunshot wound was found in the area and taken to the hospital, where he died.
LPD said no arrests have been made and while police are investigating what led to the shooting they do know several other individuals were present. The address where the shooting occurred is a commercial strip mall anchored by a Russ’s Market with freestanding Sonic and Amigos restaurants nearby.
Police asked those with information to come forward. Anyone with information can call the nonemergency number at 402-441-6000 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
