Why does a collection gain items when the list grows in size?

I have a list of type of myEnum:
public class myEnum
{
public static List EnumList = new List();
}

and a class that changes its value on add.
public class myClass : INotifyPropertyChanged
{
private string _myValue;
public string myValue
{
get { return _myValue; }
set
{
if (_myValue!= value)
{
_myValue = value;
OnPropertyChanged(“myValue”);
}
}
}
public void add()
{
myEnum.EnumList.Add(_myValue);
}
}

The myClass.add() seems to change the size of the list of myEnum. When I click a button that calls the method myClass.add(), the next click to another button will give me the updated value of myEnum.EnumList.
This is the code of my main view:
ListBox myListBox = new ListBox();
myListBox.ItemsSource = myEnum.EnumList;
