– Brush Management
In order to work more efficiently and save space on your hard drive, Photoshop CS5 offers two modes for the Brush Tool: Normal and Expert.
It’s possible to create different kinds of brushes. It’s also possible to create brushes from scratch and save them, allowing you to reuse a brush later.
Just click the plus sign that appears in the brush preview window to save it. You can see the number of brushes you have saved with the menu Filter > Brush Options > Brush Presets.
The Brush Tool can be adjusted in the Brush Tool Options bar. Try moving the Size, Spacing and Shape sliders, and also choosing whether to use a default size or create your own custom size.
You can also adjust the size of the brush that will be used for a specific effect, such as Pattern, or for a specific area of the image, such as Cross Process. You can also choose between using a brush that works equally well with all image layers, or one that works well for text or an object layer.
A button on the Brush Tool Options bar, in the right of the thumbnail for the Brush Tool, provides a shortcut for selecting the Brush Tool.

– Adjust the current Brushes Preferences to find a suitable size for your painting.
– Photoshop’s Filter > Brush menu is a great help when trying to find a suitable painting tool or brush. It contains some of the most common Brush options, such as Cross Process, Blend Mode and Size, with samples of the results it produces.
– Filter > Brush > Custom Shape is a good way to create a custom brush, and to save your custom brush settings. This will also show you how to apply custom settings to an existing brush.

Textarea resize/shrink textarea to height and width of font size

I would like to achieve the effect demonstrated here:

However, in my implementation there is a textarea that I want to resize to fit within its container with a scrollbar. When the window is resized, the textarea should shrink and fit it into its container with a scrollbar:

I can get the font size of the textarea to fit within the container, but the textarea always ends up being too large and making it scrollable instead of scrollable within the textarea.

var container = $(‘#container’),
textarea = $(‘textarea’);

container.css(‘font-size’, ’30px’);

var width = container.width();
var height = container.height();

// resize to make text fit
var as_large_as_textarea = height / font_size;

textarea.width(width * as_large_as_textarea);

console.log(textarea.width(), container.width());
#container {
display: inline-block;
vertical-align: middle;
width: 200px;
height: 100px;
border: 1px solid black;
overflow: scroll;
text-align: center;

textarea {
width: inherit;
height: inherit;

I think the issue might be that the textarea is contained within an element whose size is a function of the text within the textarea (the container div).

Your issue is that you are not scaling the width, you are only scaling the height. Changing the following line will make the container shrink to fit the textarea:
var as_large_as_textarea = height / font_size;

If you wanted the width of the container to be 1
