Every Fashion Editor I Know Is Shopping Zara’s 50th Anniversary Collection

Founded by Amancio Ortega in A Coruña, a picturesque port city in the Galicia region of Spain, Zara originated as a modest store half a century ago. Five decades later, the brand has grown exponentially, cultivating a loyal fan base of shoppers who cherish the label’s commitment to sophistication, affordability, and of-the-moment fashion trends.

To commemorate its 50th anniversary, Zara has released a 128-piece collection that blends the past with the present. The new drop features all of summer 2025’s top fashion trends—like easy slip dresses and cotton poplin button-down shirts—while also honoring the retailer’s legacy in a captivating supermodel-studded campaign shot by legendary fashion photographer Steven Meisel.

Organized by Amancio’s daughter Marta Ortega Pérez, the film features 50 of the world’s leading models singing to the tune of Donna Summer’s 1977 hit song “I Feel Love.” The visual masterpiece—featuring style icons like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Imaan Hammam—is a symbolic ode to fashion and creative freedom. With the help of stylist Karl Templer, makeup artist Pat McGrath, hair stylist Guido Palau, and creative director Jason Duzansky, Meisel seamlessly brought the film to life.
