HGTV’s ‘Help! I Wrecked My House’ seeks Utah homes for Season 5

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Need a little help in fixing up some problematic spaces in your home? Good news! If you’re in Salt Lake City, Park City, or any of the surrounding locations, you can apply to be on HGTV’s “Help! I Wrecked My House.”

Host Jasmine Roth and her team are moving from southern California to Utah and are searching for houses in the Salt Lake area to help rescue for its fifth season. Applications can be submitted by emailing [email protected], but there are some requirements to consider before applying.

HGTV’s casting website said applicants must have a minimum budget of $100,000 and have at least three to four spaces within their home in need of renovation. Applications should include your name, location, budget, and photos of the spaces for renovation.

Help! I Wrecked My House” features Jasmine Roth who helps homeowners who took on major Do-It-Yourself projects and may have taken on more than they can chew, according to the show’s description. Roth and her team finish problematic projects and restore bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom mishaps into dream spaces.

In a recent interview with HGTV, Roth revealed she was moving from her California home in Huntington Beach to Park City, Utah. Roth said she is working on remodeling a home that is “cut into the side of [Park City] mountain in Old Town Park City.

“The structure sits on an already magnificent mountainous lot,” Roth said of her new home in the interview. “I plan to play into the surrounding nature and unique layout of the floor plan by utilizing a more neutral color palette.”

Roth and her husband Brett, who reportedly were married in Park City in 2013, have had a vacation home in Utah for nearly a decade. Roth told HGTV she was excited to “lean into the community” and connect with Utah’s four seasons.

Of course, her move to Utah means her hit home-remodeling show is on the move as well. Roth said she is looking forward to designing for a new culture apart from the “SoCal” style. She said she is looking forward to keeping the same casual style but with a “luxury lodge” feel she described to HGTV as, “Kind of glam, kind of rustic, always stunning.”

The fifth season of “Help! I Wrecked My House” will exclusively feature Utah homes and is expected to begin airing in 2025. You can read Roth’s full interview with HGTV here.
