Polka Dots

Nordstrom

According to celebrity stylist Brenda Cooper, polka dots are taking center stage in 2025. “This universally flattering and versatile print can be worn by people of all demographics and in many moods, such as a sundress or an elegant, form-fitting sheath. You can use them today to elevate your confidence and define your own authentic, bold, and sassy style identity.”

Wild Patterns With a Modern Edge

Michael Kors

And while animal prints and florals are no strangers to the fashion world, the merchandising and styling manager at Blue Bungalow, Saffron King, says their interpretations are changing. “The resurgence of animal prints has seen the trend presented as versatile neutrals that can seamlessly integrate into various outfits,” King explains, adding, “The adaptability of animal prints allows them to be incorporated into both casual and formal attire, making them accessible to a diverse audience.”

Full-On Florals

Francesca’s

Personal stylist and fashion blogger Jackie Condura notes, “Florals for spring are not new, but the interpretation of them for the upcoming season is going to be bold, all-over prints. The colorful blooms coming will call to mind a sense of grandma florals updated in a modern, chic way.”

All-White Everything

Amazon

“The monochromatic trend was a big hit two seasons ago but it was all about bold colors,” explains Ashley Afriyie, a stylist and fashion brand consultant for Hollywood Fashion Secrets. Now it’s all about all-white looks that dominated the 2025 runways. It’s “clean, effortless, timeless, and classic,” Afriyie shares. “An all-white look shows that you are bold and confident to wear this pairing, knowing the risk once you hit the streets.”

Earth-Inspired Color Palettes

Tuckernuck

Other stylists like Rob Behnke, co-founder of Fair Indigo, say moody tones like clay, olive, sand, and rust will dominate the clothing racks. “These tones feel calm, connected, and timeless,” he says, adding, “They play nicely with neutrals but still have enough personality to stand on their own.” Simple pieces like an olive jacket can instantly pull an outfit together. “Pair it with a simple white tee and cropped trousers, and you’ve got a look that’s clean, modern, and low-effort cool.”

Deep Shades of Red

Target

Various shares of red have been everywhere, including punchy cherry reds to the latest burgundy. “This saturated shade isn’t going anywhere and will continue to stay on trend for 2025,” according to Condura.

Mocha Mousse

Amazon

And, of course, we can’t ignore Pantone’s Color Of The Year for 2025, Mocha Mousse, which will surely be at the forefront of fashion’s color palette. “Adding this trending color into your wardrobe is an easy way to incorporate it into your style, and it will go with everything in your closet.”

Yes to Yellow

Nordstrom

While Pantone expects neutrals to shine, stats also show us that yellow is really going to be the color of 2025, shares Jewel Elizabeth,  author of The Encyclopedia of New York Fashion. “Golds, mustards, and butter yellows dominated the runways in fall 2024, giving us an idea of the color palette for 2025.

Fringe Galore

Amazon

“There’s a 70’s fashion revival going on, and fringe appears to be at the forefront,” Detroit stylist and founder of Dianne In Style, Dianne Boyer, declares. “What’s great about the fringe trend is that it’s one that can go from winter to spring, and there are both bold and subtle ways to incorporate it into your wardrobe. For right now, think heavier fabrics like suede and leather, but come spring, you can combine fringe with raffia or swap out dark colors and replace them with fringe pieces in this spring’s ‘it’ color: pastel pink.”

Fisherman Aesthetic

J.Crew

“Move over coastal grandma, ‘Fisherman Aesthetic’ is the newer and cooler maritime fashion trend for 2025,” teases Leah Wise, a stylist and founder of Crash Gal Couture. “Continuing to lean into the laid-back, breezy look, we can expect to see lots of cozy cable knit sweaters, stripes, boat shoes, and nods to nautical imagery.”

Suede

Commense

You can still enjoy fall and winter’s favorite fabric, according to personal stylist Liz Wendler. “Lightweight suede skirts, tops, and jackets will stay in rotation regardless of season, bringing a soft, luxurious feel to everyday looks,” she shares. ”This trend is all about effortless elegance with a touch of texture. Get ready to embrace suede as your new style staple for business and fun!”

Retro Shoes

Madewell

Wendler adds that “suede sneakers also steal the spotlight,” she says, “with bold red hues leading the charge.” And it’s not just sneakers but dressy shoes, too, like Mary Janes. “This vibrant trend is a game-changer, effortlessly complementing minimalist and maximalist styles. Get ready for a year of bold statements and exciting footwear at work and for fun.”

Twisted Dresses: The Sculptural Statement

GAP

Wrap dresses have always been around, but 2025 will be more about “introducing intricate draping and asymmetrical designs that transform traditional silhouettes into wearable art,” explains expert Saffron King. “Drawing inspiration from Grecian aesthetics…the emphasis on draping and twisting not only adds visual interest but also allows for versatility in styling, making them suitable for various occasions.”

70s Boho Vibes

Uniqlo

Ashley Afriyie wants you to embrace boho chic vibes. “We saw this trend pick up traction during the fall season because of the high knee boots, leather coats, and warm neutral colors—all the quintessential fall colors,” she begins. “This trend will certainly make its way back into the spring season for 2025 because the pieces include lightweight skirts, flowy blouses, floral/paisley prints, light leather coats, and lots of layers!” Tip: Afriyie suggests having an anti-static spray on hand to keep the silk blouses and skirts looking and feeling their best.

Asymmetrical Cuts

Nordstrom

Diane Boyer says clean cuts are out. “The asymmetrical trend is a look that allows for freedom and movement and just seems to match with expressing your unique self,” she remarks. Even if the shape isn’t unified, Boyer says that asymmetrical designs are actually versatile for styling and can suit both day and night outfits.“You can pair an asymmetrical skirt with a cashmere sweater, a unique neckline top with faux leather pants, or an asymmetrical sweater with jeans and sneakers.”

Roomy Jeans

Old Navy

“The real star of the denim game is the barrel or horseshoe jeans,” Liz Wendler explains. “While some of my clients have hesitated to embrace this bold silhouette, it’s surprisingly flattering and visually captivating—more than most realize…I love this paired with a fitted top to balance the silhouette of the barrel leg.”

Borrowed From the Boys

Spanx

“The bold and confident menswear-inspired trend is the perfect counterpart to soft dressing,” shares Liz Wendler. “This yin-and-yang style is stepping into the spotlight in 2025, embracing sleek lines, tailored silhouettes, and effortlessly cool.” Wendler shares that this is ”designed to make anyone, especially in a business setting, feel polished, powerful, and unapologetically stylish.”

Athleticism Meets Everyday Style

Target

Don’t put away your workout wear just yet. Saffron King tells us, “This evolution of sporty wear signifies a move towards practical yet chic attire, appealing to a wide demographic seeking versatility in their wardrobes,” and that “the incorporation of performance-inspired materials and designs allows individuals to transition from casual to more elevated settings seamlessly.” She recommends combining a classic polo with wide-leg jeans or pairing a sporty skort with an elegant top. “The key is to balance athletic elements with traditional pieces to achieve a harmonious and contemporary look.”

Power Dressing

White House Black Market

“Power dressing is back, and I’m all in,” says personal stylist Sharon Warten. “There’s nothing like a great blazer or tailored trousers to make you feel instantly put together. These pieces are wardrobe must-haves. They’re timeless, versatile, and always chic. The best part? They’ll keep you looking sharp for the long haul.”

Gender-Neutral Styles

Everlane

“Designers are now creating collections that everyone can enjoy without getting stuck in outdated stereotypes,” shares Jewel Elizabeth “Expect to see a rise in unisex clothing options, with relaxed silhouettes and versatile pieces that can be styled in numerous ways on a diverse array of bodies.”

Bag Charms

Free People

Silvia Curioni, founder of luxury handbag brand Zipperly, notes that bag charms aren’t going anywhere and are a “must-have statement.” “From playful, oversized charms to customizable trinkets, these add-ons let you personalize your handbags and inject a sense of individuality.”

The Mini Bag

Nordstrom

Jackie Schiavone, stylist at My Someday Project, insists that the mini bag trend will continue in the spring of 2025 but with a retro twist. She explains, “If you went to high school in the 90’s, chances are that you carried the ‘original’ mini bag from the French brand Longchamp. These indestructible mini totes were perfect for carrying your frosted brownie lipstick, wallet, keys, and tic tacs. Longchamp recently launched the Le Roseau Collection, which is the perfect combination of chic sophistication and attainable luxury.”

Personalized Accessories

BaubleBar

You can show your personality a little more through chic and personalized accessories. “Charm bracelets were all the rage in 2024, and we’re seeing a continued interest in personalized and customized pieces,” says Olivia Landau, CEO and founder of NYC-based fine jewelry company, The Clear Cut. “Initial necklaces and personalized jewelry give a unique touch, offering a special staple piece to show yourself off or commemorate a major life milestone.”

The Traditional Trench Remade

Abercrombie & Fitch

Expect a modern twist to classics, like the trench coat, shares Schiavone. The staple “never goes out of style because the tailor cut and sophisticated details, such as a defined lapel, cinched waist, and perfectly placed buttons, look great on all body types.” However, for 2025, expect the trench silhouette to be translated into “a variety of unexpected pieces, including a cropped leather trench, a denim trench, and even a trench dress.” It’s all about the modern details.

Denim Trousers

Amazon

“Out with the baggy and in with a refined look,” says Schiavone. Don’t forget to add some tailored pieces to your denim collection. “Wide-leg jeans will continue to be in style for 2025, but with crisp lines like these denim trousers. The refined look of these jeans makes them easier to pair with various tops including: camisoles, tanks, tees, blouses, sweaters, and even blazers.”

Everlasting Basics

Quince

Sharon Warten insists you focus on nailing down the basics of your wardrobe: Think simple tees and white tank tops that are “simple, classic, and endlessly versatile.” Invest in lasting basics that can be “the perfect layering piece, whether styled under a blazer or paired with relaxed denim for an effortlessly chic look.”
