Two Dunwoody realtors are “flipping it forward” at a Tucker home to benefit Atlanta Angels, a non-profit focused on supporting foster care children and the families who house them.
Amy and Jon Pedersen of the Purpose Driven Real Estate Group purchased the former home of Ray and Sydney Lund, and upon finding out that the couple had fostered more than 40 children throughout their lives, they decided renovate the house and donate the net proceeds of the sale to Atlanta Angels.
In order to maximize the donation, the Pedersens are seeking in-kind donations and work from local contractors.
“We want to flip it for the least possible amount of money and sell it for the highest possible amount of money,” Amy Pedersen said.
The duo are no strangers to flipping houses, having completed more than 30 since 2016. The Pedersens assist homeowners who may not have the funds to repair their homes prior to selling them by fronting the renovation costs.
“We first started this process to help people whose homes had fallen into disrepair so they could get top dollar instead of pennies on the dollar,” Amy said.
Amy said the couple had been thinking about doing a charity flip, and upon hearing the Lund’s story from their daughter, Kathy Lund Rogers, all of the stars aligned.
Ray died in 2014 and Sydney in 2023, and Rogers was tasked with selling the home.
“When we met Miss Kathy and she told us about their passion for foster children, we said, ‘This house has to be for Atlanta Angels,’ which is a charity that we have supported in the past,” Amy said.
Renovations on the 1,600 square-foot home, located off Chamblee Tucker Road, are well under way, with a bevy of contractors either donating or highly discounting their services.

Those vendors include Ace My Space, Katherine Ingalls Design, Kristen Eudy Architecture, RealKit, Focus Films, Stand Up Guys Junk Removal, Apex Roofing Solutions, CSN Services GA, Window World of Atlanta, R Randolf Interiors, Legacy Countertops, The Hardwood Guys – Flooring, Edwin Bautista, Phoenix Deco, and JR Tile Renova.
Extensive renovations to the brick ranch home include creating a primary ensuite and an all-new kitchen and adding a half bath.
The couple is still seeking to partner with electricians, an HVAC company, and a home-staging company.
“We’ve really stepped out in faith on this one,” Amy said. “Our goal is to be able to donate $25,000 to Atlanta Angels so having these partners is so important.”
The Pedersens have created a video about the process, which includes an interview with Rogers.
